Position Description:

A Child Service Professional provides individualized mental health interventions and support services to children and families receiving community-based Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services.

 

Community-based service settings include but are not limited to:  home, school, activity center, church, neighborhood, or extended or kinship family home.  The Child Service Professional is supported by a qualified mental health professional, as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, and implements medically necessary interventions and support services to enable the children and adolescents to be maintained and function in the least restrictive setting.

Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 dedicated workers and serves approximately 10,000 families per year.  Our mission is to engage human service systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families, and adults.

 

Summary of the Position:  A Child Service Professional provides individualized mental health interventions and support services to children and families receiving community-based Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services. Required Qualifications:

Qualifications/Requirements:   The Child Service Professional must hold at least a BA/BS in social work, psychology, early childhood education, child development, or related discipline as well as one year of training and experience in working with children and adolescents with mental health issues.

 

Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability. This position requires background checks to be completed.
