Position Description:

The Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) is to identify behavioral goals, design appropriate interventions, and supervise the implementation of a behavior modification plan that is tailored to the specific needs of the client and family. The Behavioral Specialist Consultant oversees the work of the treatment team members as they provided services directly to the client and/or family in the home, school, day care center, or other community setting. The goal is to provide clinical mental health interventions through the use of behavior modification that will enable the client to be maintained and function appropriately in the least restrictive environment.

We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families, and adults. 


Summary of the Position: Licensed Behavior Specialist, Licensed Social Workers or Licensed Professional Counselors positions are available in Huntingdon, Mifflin, and Juniata Counties, PA. The position is supervisory/hands on providing Behavioral Specialist Consultation or Mobile Therapy services to children with Autism or other Axis I diagnoses. Work with adults possible. All applicants must be dependable, consistent and able to serve as a positive role model for clients in community and home settings. Duties include but not limited to: Child and Family Therapy, Treatment Plan development and implementation of treatment plans, supervision of staff and case coordination.


Required Qualifications:

Qualifications/Requirements: · Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, etc., with strong clinical skills and training or course work in Behavioral Modification with one year’s experience. Licensed Behavior Specialist, Licensed Social Worker, or License Professional Counselor.


Must have criminal background checks/clearances (Act 33, 34, and FBI). Reliable Transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance with bodily injury liability limits of $100k per person/$300k per accident.
