Position Description:

Therapeutic Staff Support is a non-traditional way of providing intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in a variety of community based setting to children/adolescents with severe psychiatric diagnoses and their families. These settings include, but are not limited to, home, school, activity center, church, neighborhood, or extended or kinship family home. The therapeutic staff support person is supervised by a qualified mental health professional, a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, and implements specific treatment goals prescribed by a psychiatrist or psychologist. The goal is to implement sound clinical interventions and support services to enable the children/adolescents to maintain and function appropriately in the least restrictive setting.

We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families, and adults.


Summary of the Position: Therapeutic Staff Support: Position working one-on-one with at-risk youth in homes and communities where youth reside. All applicants must be dependable, consistent and able to serve as a positive role model for children in community, school, and home settings. Flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, paid supervision and training.


Required Qualifications:

Qualifications/Requirements: Interested candidates should have a Bachelor Degree in human service field with no experience; Degree in other field with 1 yr. paid experience working with children or Associates Degree or 60 college credits requires 3 yrs. f/t paid experience working with children. Bilingual a Plus!


Must have Criminal Background Checks and Clearances (Act 33, 34 and FBI). Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance with bodily injury liability limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident.
