Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Position Description:

Occupation Therapist for Early Intervention, children ages 0-3. Direct face-to-face service provided in the home and community settings to build needed skills with children and families. Staff will follow Individual Service Plan and assessment recommendations as established by county MH/ID/EI. The program has a specialty in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Interventions and Family-Focused treatment.

To provide occupational therapy services for infant/toddlers in Early Intervention, an individual is considered qualified if the individual possesses the following:

  • Must earn a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) certified school.

  • Performed at least 6 months of occupational therapy work experience as part of an internship under a licensed Occupational Therapist.

  • Pass the NBCOT OTR examination

We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families, and adults.

The program has a specialty in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Interventions, and Family-Focused Treatment.

Required Qualifications:

Qualifications/Requirements: To provide occupational therapy services for infant/toddlers in Early Intervention, an individual is considered qualified if the individual possesses the following:

Training is provided by Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. Employees must complete training that is relevant to the development disability community as required. CPR/FA Certification, Advocacy, Autism, Mandt training and pre-employment trainings are required. The program specialty focused and training intensive to assure ongoing knowledge and commitment to development disability and community services.

 

Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability. This position requires background checks to be completed, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Check and 3-year driving record.

This position requires background checks to be completed annually
