Philadelphia YAP participants attended last night’s “Keep Youth Free!” Opening Reception at the Center for Architecture and Design. The event was hosted by First Degree Consulting, Village of Arts & Humanities, Juvenile Law Center, Performing Statistics and People’s Paper Co-op, whose co-founder Mark Strandquist uses art to advance justice reform
The three-day exhibit features art created by youth impacted by the justice system in Philadelphia, Richmond, VA and other cities. The exhibit gives attendees an opportunity to add their personal experiences to the artwork.
Through art created by people impacted by the justice system, Strandquist connects those affected to experts and stakeholders who can make system changes.
