NJ Regional Director Says YAP Helps to Reduce Racial Disparity in the Justice System

A new report fro the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice asserts that racial disparities are overwhelming in the juvenile justice system.  YAP Regional Director Fred Fogg is quoted in this article about how YAP works to engage youth and families in community-based alternatives to incarceration and reduce recidivism.  "White youth involved in juvenile justice issues tend to have better access to diversion programs than African American youth," Fogg said.  Read the full article at NJ TV Online...

Middlesex County Provides Thanksgiving Dinner

Middlesex County YAP in New Jersey hosted Thanksgiving dinner for the youth in their program. Everyone experienced a wonderful time sharing a meal and listening to testimonies of former YAP clients who were able to change their negative path into a positive and fulfilling one. Their testimonies were very uplifting and exemplary of how YAP is changing lives one biography at a time. They also donated 20 turkeys to their most needy families.
