Ulster County NY YAP - Giving Back

Ulster County YAP teamed up with local business in an effort to collect new toys from community members. Multiple local businesses agreed to display gift drop boxes for three weeks and were able to accrue more than $300 worth of gifts for youth ranging in ages from 1 to 18.After the gifts were collected, YAP youth met at the program office and wrapped all of the donated gifts.Local firefighters who were running a toy drive happily accepted the collected the gifts from the youth on December 21st....

Chemung Youth Organize Clothing Drive

Youth from Chemung County YAP participated in two exciting community activities.  They had the opportunity to tour the studies of news station WENY News Southern Tier.They also coordinated a clothing drive for their community.  Clothes were donated by families and Plato's Closet, and the drive was run by YAP youth.  It was open to the Elmira, NY community.

Clinton County YAP in NY was able to provide a Thanksgiving meal for youth in the program.  The small upstate NY program also put together a box of donations from local businesses for a family in need, including a 23lb turkey!

St. Lawrence County YAP teamed up with Maurice's clothing store at the St. Lawrence Center Mall in Massena, NY and collected non-perishable food items from November 2 through November 19.
