We Offer a Flexible, Contingent Workplace

 

Our team values the flexibility of the work. Though there are clear expectations regarding services to families and administrative demands, our team maintains flexibility in how they manage their own schedules.

76% of our team are hourly staff. This design empowers staff to choose how many families they are able to work with based on their own availability and priorities. Staff work with their families to develop weekly schedules that meet the family’s need and also work for them. They complete their paperwork where they want, when they want, within the guidelines for submission.

We structure our work environment to promote a healthy work-life balance, because we want our team to enjoy the same quality of life that we aspire for our kids, adults and families.

Supportive, Skill-Building Environment

 

We work very hard to take care of our team as they take care of our kids, adults and families. YAP employees gain a breadth of experiences through their work: building their practitioner skills while increasing their understanding of and connections to different systems, services and resources within their community. We offer a supportive environment within which to learn and grow, providing employees with weekly supervision, coaching, and mentoring. Our staff receive orientation and ongoing training to further develop their skills; and opportunities to network and learn from other YAP staff in the local program as well as across the nation.
