In honor of Mother’s Day, Chatham County, GA YAP performed a skit entitled “The Many Hats of Mothers” at a program the office hosted for its youth and their mothers. One of the youth, Christopher, lost his mother a few months ago, but told staff that he wanted to attend the event and play a role in the skit. He did.

The program featured a guitarist, a YAP youth named Jonathan, whose mother Wanda was in attendance. She smiled proudly as her son serenaded her and the other guests.

The event was a success and ended with dinner and the families sharing their own personal stories of the many hats that mothers wear.
